You might guess the majority of online shoppers reside in the United States, or at the very least, that the majority are English speaking. That’s not the case. In fact, only 27 percent of online shoppers speak English. That leaves billions of consumers in Japan, Germany, Brazil, Korea, and everywhere else that might just buy your products if you properly market to them online.

Tips for going global with your brand include:

  • Researching the heck out of your target regions. Lifestyle, pop culture, slang, and so on vary from place to place, so it’s necessary to be aware of those things and focus your content accordingly.
  • Examine your competition. Find out what’s working, what’s not working, and which CEOs to sic your goon on (for the record, Content Ping does not condone criminal activities).
  • And, of course, find trustworthy, multilingual writers and translators.
