AMS/SEM Strategist

Primary Function

The AMS/SEM Strategist will be responsible for building and managing paid search campaigns through Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) program for specific clients, but over time the position may include Amazon Advertising Platform (AAP), Seller Central, Google AdWords, and other retail-specific marketing programs. This position will also track and analyze campaign data to identify optimization opportunities. This position will be part of the Paid Search team at content26.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute various campaign types through Amazon Marketing Services (AMS)
  • Research, test and manage relevant keywords, interest groups, and marketing strategies
  • Closely monitor campaign performance and develop/maintain reporting to communicate KPIs to key stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate optimization opportunities, trends, and insights to client to help grow the overall success of the campaign ad types
  • Responsible for ongoing analysis of campaign statistics to continually improve ad performance, traffic, ACPC, ACoS / ROAS, CTR
  • Become an expert-user of AMS tools, AAP, and other Amazon-specific marketing tools as needed, and provide tutorials and training to company staff as needed
  • Lead efforts in coordination with internal team members of workflow between AMS and Client Services team in respect to content edits and suggestions
  • Meet with client(s) on a bi-monthly basis to review and discuss AMS performance. Bi-monthly calls can include but are not limited to offering insight to AMS trends, reviewing AMS reports, and compiling and presenting monthly and quarterly business reports
  • Work collaboratively with content26 stakeholders in a fast paced environment to share and communicate SEM / SEO best practices in relation to Amazon search

Required Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Complete understanding of and 2–4 years proven experience with SEM analytics
  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 1 year experience in AMS
  • 2-3 years of eCommerce experience on Amazon, preferably with CPG products
  • 2-3 years of Amazon experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Digital eCommerce experience; familiar with AdWords, Bing Ads, and client facing background
  • Experience with Kenshoo (Marketo, Marion, etc) or a similar account management technology
  • Vendor Central experience
  • Seller Central experience
  • Amazon Advertising Platform experience
  • Amazon Media Group experience
