The Senior eCommerce Marketing Strategist will be responsible for building and managing paid search campaigns and creating programmatic advertising campaigns via Amazon’s various platforms for specific clients. The position requires the expert management of all aspects of paid search campaigns and programmatic advertising campaigns, and the expert management of projects of various size, scope and complexity with little or no oversight by his or her manager. The Senior Strategist is also responsible for tracking and analyzing campaign data to identify optimization opportunities and make recommendations and outline best practices to clients.

The Senior Strategist is a client-facing role that may require travel for client meetings. In addition, the Senior Strategist has strong leadership skills, communicates clearly and is driven towards always iterating on process improvements. The Senior Strategist is also a role model for the eCommerce team; someone who should be able to give positive mentorship to other Strategists and team members where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute various campaign types through Amazon Advertising technology
  • Plan and manage programmatic advertising solutions utilizing Amazon Advertising Platform (AAP)
  • Stay abreast of changing technologies and requirements for campaign and advertising solutions
  • Research, test, and manage relevant keywords and interest groups
  • Closely monitor campaign performance and develop/maintain reporting to communicate progress on key metrics
  • Effectively communicate optimization opportunities to client to help grow the overall success of the various campaign ad types
  • Responsible for ongoing analysis of campaign statistics to continually improve ad performance, traffic ACPC, ACoS/ROAS
  • Lead client-facing calls and in-person meetings
  • Provide thought leadership to clients and become an expert on client brands
  • Able to mentor team members on Amazon Advertising tools, Amazon seller and vendor management, and other Amazon-specific marketing tools as needed, and provide tutorials and training to agency staff as needed
  • Develop new reporting concepts and tools to further client service
  • Lead efforts in coordination with the Manager, eCommerce Marketing to improve workflow between internal teams and Amazon Advertising
  • Meet with client(s) on a bi-weekly basis to review and discuss campaign performance, offering insights to trends, reviewing reports and compiling and presenting monthly and quarterly business reports

Required Skills

  • 3-4 years paid search, programmatic advertisement, Amazon Advertisement or related experience managing multiple, client-facing projects of various size and scope
  • 2 years experience in an Amazon related role
  • Deep understanding of the entire Amazon ecosystem and correlations to advertising
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask under tight deadlines and effectively manage team resources

Preferred Skills
Digital ecommerce experience; familiar with AMS, AAP, AdWords, Bing Ads, and client facing background
